MEET CAITLIN SHIROCK
Caitlin Shirock is a Nashville-based artist, designer, and creator of Cash Color. Since 2017, Caitlin Shirock’s Cash Color art print collection has been bringing joy into the homes of thousands of customers. Now, Caitlin is stepping into new realms of artistic expression with the debut of her original artwork.
ARTIST STATEMENT
Painting and drawing have always been my preferred method for processing my feelings and experiences. When I started, I played it safe by drawing with clean, solitary lines and painting with precise brush strokes. I kept my personal expression pieces to myself.
As we’ve all bravely moved through so many uncertainties during the past few years, I found myself wanting to explore new ways to express some of these big, bold feelings on canvas. I tried new painting techniques, mixed new colors that matched my emotions, and let go of some of my self-imposed "safe" rules.
My artwork represents my journey of taking risks stepping into my true self, and not being afraid to take up space. If you can relate, I hope these pieces also speak to you.
